Bluetooth audio not displaying song info on car stereo

So I just got a 2014 Chevy Sonic LT, with a non-touchscreen stereo. I can successfully pair my phone with it and play audio through various music apps, but the stereo display doesn't show the song or artist info. It just says the name of my phone. Is there any way to get this info to show up?

If track info is important to you, then yes.

The non touch screen mylink is a basic Bluetooth version, no track info being received by the head unit even though it's being sent.

I suppose you could look at your phone display rather than replace the radio.

The song info isn't the only missing features I'd like. Pandora/Spotify, on-screen navigation, backup camera, and so on would also be nice.
