Bluetooth question

Forgive me if this has been addressed already, I did a search, but didn't find any questions the same.
I just purchased a 2012 sonic LT sedan. It has bluetooth, and I can connect with no problem, however it's handsfree only. No audio streaming. It never even comes up as an option.
I have tried with 3 different phones, and had the same result with all of them.
Is there a way to activate audio streaming?
I contacted GM Canada, and was told that audio streaming wasn't an option on 2012 sonics, but from what I have read I know that's not the case.
Maybe I just got a pared down version of bluetooth?
Is it possible to go to a dealer and have it activated?

I also just got a 2012 but LTZ. Not sure if that is difference. I have menu option for bluetooth handfree, and bluetooth music, different bluetooth number. You link both of these. Then push "Aux" button and it goes and says "NO CD" some times but then other times it plays nicely. I am sorry not bigger help but let me know if you have issues, I'm not expert as we've only had the car a couple weeks and my wife loves it and hogs the use!! Check manual if you have one.

If your car has the Connectivity package then you can bluetooth music to your radio. Below is a description of that package, my guess is if you have a USB port in your glove box you probably have it.

Hmmmm. I have bluetooth, cruise, steering controls, but I don't have the USB port, and I don't know about Sirius.

Looks like you do not have the Connectivity package. My wife uses something like this to add bluetooth to her car. It does require a 3.5mm aux audio input to the radio (do you have that?). It runs on battery up to 8 hours, charges using a supplied USB cable. It's only about $14.

I presume you checked in the upper glove box. USB connector is there.

To stream audio you have to connect as a gm music device in addition to the phone audio. I got lost reconnecting once until I twisted the knob to scroll down on the screen. LOL

My original flip phone would not blue tooth. GM was not fixing that at the time so I got a newer phone.

Wouldnt having bluetooth imply you have the connectivity package and the USB port in the upper glove box.

If you have the USB port in the upper glove box but no USB option on the radio its a programming issue.. I had that problem when they replaced my radio.

Yeah, I'm not sure. It seems I have the majority of the connectivity package, but I'm missing the USB port and bluetooth audio streaming.
If it were up to me I'd love to have them both, but one or the other would really make a difference. If it were the USB (any way of adding it aftermarket?) I could control my iPod from the steering wheel, or bluetooth, the streaming would shut off after I left the car.
I had a 6 year old aftermarket stereo in my last car that would stream bluetooth no problem with any phone. Not sure why a 2 year old car cannot accomplish the same simple task.
