Bow Tie fell off

Any one else have the center of their rear bow tie fall off? I went to peel the vinyl layover off an it fell of in my hand before I even started peelin off the layover. It seems the glue just let go. It looks like ass right now.

If it was in direct sunlight the glue could have gotten weak from the heat.

That's what I was thinking as well, but I've just never had it happen on any of my previous cars. I'm not that upset about it, because now I'm just going to do something else with it. I was taking the overlay off because everyone and their brother blacks out their badges. I want to do something unique, but tasteful.
