So I just bought a 2012 1.4L with the 6 speed manual with 100k on it. I thought I smelled something burning on the test drive, but I attributed it to all the semi's coming down a steep hill that I was on since it always smells like that there. I drove a hour and a half home, and it still smelled, but it didn't really have a chance to cool down.
This morning I drive my 20 minutes to work and it smells like that again. Is the clutch going out? Low on fluid? Or am I still getting use to driving a manual again. My other manuals never smelled like this when I first started driving. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If I do need to swap the clutch kit, what else should I buy to replace? I was going to get the tranny motor mounts from one of the websites here, DDM I think it's called. Anything else?
