Looking at this photo my father took, of a new red C7 Stingray ... it really struck me as familiar. Then it hit me..... here we go:

I seen one of the stingrays totaled out 2 months ago.. idk how but smacked into a guard rail and flipt.. people from the corvette plant was there too

The new StingRay is a beast. If it was not so oversized I would consider getting one, especially since there is a choice of colors that makes sense. For the record, it comes in at 73.9 inches wide so I guess it is not a true wide body as the C6 wide bodies (Grand Sport, ZO6 and ZR1) were 74 inches wide and 73.9 inches is not as wide as 74 inches.
I see them quite often around here, especially once the CTFs were shipped up here at the end of April. There is a black one I see probably once a week that appears to have been lowered and looks positively beastly.

I have not come across any that were marked as such yet. I am sure that if I look hard enough at work I will spot one if it exists. Most of the ones I see appear to be "standard" cars, but I have heard a few that sounded like they had an extra ball or two and had appearances to match. The performance versions may be in the works, but not badged to indicate it.

None yet. Camouflaged C7s have been photographed. The pictures racing version which will appear in the new united sport car championship have been released. The performance C7 may appear at the Detroit Auto Show in January although so far that is a rumor.
I have predicted that a regular body C7 will be offered in 2016 w/ 5.3 V8 engine, based on the change in smog rules to be vehicle line specific and using carbon footprint as the standard. I think Chevy will want to get the performance C7 to market before then which makes 2015 as a logical introduction year.
