Car died when compressor kicked on.

Was sitting at a light the other day, and had the defrost on. When the compressor kicked on it died. Was able to start it right back up and it has not done it since. Car has 60,000 miles. Could it have just been a one off kind of thing considering it was a cold engine and was very cold outside?

My car randomly stalls too. While I'm not in gear, not sure why. I dont remember anything other than slowing down and stopping while not in gear. Then moments after stopping the car just stalls for no reason. Its happened twice so far in the last 3 months. Slightly under 60k miles though
