Car doesn't always 'boop' when locking

Hello, having an issue with my 2012 1.8 Hatchback LT (124K) alarm system.
For some time now it has decided when it will or won't boop upon the second lock button push on the key-fob. I asked the mechanic to check it out and they said they didn't see any issue with it but it was still engaging the alarm system; as in it would sound if someone messed with it.
Well, now it hardly ever boops and when it does it sounds weak and distorted. And when I tested it it no longer sounds the alarm when trying to open when locked. I want to check the fuses on this but they don't seem to be labeled in the manual and fuse layouts. Any tips on where to start? I don't mind if it never boops again, but I need it to be engaging the alarm system properly. Thank you in advance!

Does your actual horn work? and does your blinkers flash as if the alarm is going off? mite be either a loose/broken wire to the horn or just need a new horn altogether.

Blinkers still flash when locking but they do not flash as if the alarm was triggered/going off. And thank you for asking about the actual horn because it worked last week when I used it but I just checked and No it is not working now.

There should be a setting to sound the horn as the alarm is armed. Check your options through the head unit and see if maybe it was disabled.

Checked through the setting and everything is set properly to sound. Today it is booping on the second push, but still no alarming if I try to open the locked door. Horn worked again today too. Pretty sure this car is just out to get me, lol.

if its intermittent that tells me loose connection or slightly broken wire. I would look and if nothing obvious have a second person at the wheel and hit the horn while you wiggle the wire by the connectors. if it goes in and out there's your culprit.

Thank you! That sounds like a good plan of action. Would this also be why the alarm is not sounding?
As added note: when I push the panic button once it does in fact do the three boops and light flashing it is supposed to.

Yes. check for loose or damaged connections.

Lol Not Betty But agreed, gonna do a once over on the connections, maybe burn some sage and bless it too. Happy Friday the 13th! May be a few days until I can do so, but I will update!

Well, it seems all the wires are wrapped up so tightly I cannot tell much from the other. I jiggled and nothing seemed loose and it didn't change the lack of boop-ery. And none of the fuses I could find that may be related to horn and alarm all look good. Guess I will have to take it in. Thank you everyone for your help!
