Car speakers question

Hey what's up everyone I replaced my factory door speakers awhile ago with all Infinity,the guy I took it to to have the work done said he was gonna use the stock crossovers instead of the ones that came with with my speakers since I wasn't going to get an amp to power just the speakers. Well yesterday my amp quit working I'm not sure if it's the fuse or something else or a bad amp but my question is if it's broke do I get a 5 channel amp to power my sub and speakers or 2 separate small amps and is there a benefit to having a 5 channel amp? I currently have a 8 inch sun and hifonics 100 watt amp and a pioneer 7 inch screen thanks everyone p.s. I couldn't make up my mind and when I finally did and wanted a 5 channel amp I had already had a mono on order soo i just left it alone

Id figure out the issue first, so you dont keep blowing amps. Its about the same install for 1 5 channel or a 2 channel and a 4 channel. But you already have a 4 channel and a mono so id just stay with that.

thanks for the input im not sure if i blew a fuse or not its just stopped working im gonna try and pull out the fuse tomorrow from the amp and see ya i think there is a stock amp for the speakers not sure i just have the mono for the sub and i probably didnt need one that powerful but yet again was indecisive about my setup but already bought the amp but thanks for the reply feel free to check out my build thread in sig

No there is no stock amp in the Sonics.

Specifically what speakers did you use? You say Infinity Reference component in your front doors in your build page. Crutchfield says Infinity Reference 6500cx won't fit front door (they say magnet is .2" too large a diameter). They say Kappa 60.11cs has magnet diameter .4" too large. The Primus ones they say will fit, but I want to go higher end.

Did you have any fit problems. Use factory bracket or Scosche bracket?

First off thanks for checking out my build thread. No offense but i think crutchfield is over priced i prefer sonic electronix myself or amazon where i bought my speakers i got a great deal on amazon for my speakers let me know if you want a link. the primus speakers are the budget line made by infinity.i have the reference 6030cs and 6032 ct when i took to have them installed they said they needed the scoshe speaker adapters to fit which were 10$ a pair soo you will need them too any other questions feel free to ask i also have the reference 8inch subwoofer its awesome for the price

I buy my stuff from various places, but almost certainly not all from Crutchfield, but their website is nice and is a good reference. I think they base their fit or no fit including the Scotch adapters. So you didn't have any problems? We're there any obstructions near speaker? Does the window come close? I'm guessing their database is overly conservative, but don't want problems.

i took it to a place to have it done and i havent had any problems with the windows going up or down i didnt have the adapters at first soo and when he tried to install the speakers they just fell out so he said i needed the adapters for them to fit, since i didnt do the job myself thats all i can say hope this helps
