I'm in the middle of a discrepancy with my warranty duration and am wondering if anyone else has experienced this. If so, how did you find resolution?
I bought a 2013 Certified Pre-Owned Sonic, which is supposed to come with a 6yr/100,000 mile limited powertrain warranty, in addition to other benefits. This is on the dealer's website, the Chevy website, the CPO brochure the dealer gave me, and what I'm guessing is the CPO certification/build sheet.
When I took my car in for the key-in reminder chime recall it came to my attention that the dealer computer showed my car as having only a 5yr/100,000 limited powertrain warranty.
I talked to the service manager where I bought the car; he is supposedly looking into it to get answers. I called Chevy and they had no idea what I was talking about. The guy, from a different dealer, who wrote up my recall repair had no idea what I was talking about either.
It seems to me, it is pretty common knowledge that every Chevy, Buick, GMC certified pre-owned car comes with 6yr/100,000.
I'm going to the dealer tomorrow in hopes of getting an answer, which hopefully is a one-year extension on my warranty.
Any insights?
