is that a plastic valve cover?? some aftermarket company is going to make a killing on metal valve covers for this car.

Why metal and not carbon fiber? Whats wrong with the plastic?

because i noticed that that is not just a cover over the engine.. that IS THE VALVE COVER. on a boosted engine thats probably not the best thing for it. the 2.2 and 2.4 ecotec's had plastic intake manifolds, i swapped mine out pretty quickly.. just not a fan of plastic. i saw a cavalier blow his intake manifold to pieces with a 50 shot at the track. just saying it could be an issue down the line once people get into turbo swaps and making more power. it probably does it's job on the sonic in stock form from the factory.
