Popped P0119 (Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor Circuit Intermittent) last week with the check engine light.
There were no drivability issues at all when the CEL first came on. The next few days it took 4-5 start key cycles to get it to start in the morning when it was cold. When the engine was warm there were no problems at all getting it to start. A couple of days later the radiator fans came on full blast every time I used the car.
I checked the Engine Coolant Temp (ECT) sensor resistance in the morning when the air temp was about 60F. My reading was 650 ohms. The manual indicates it should be around 2.5K ohms at 60F.
So I picked up a new ECT at the dealership for $30 and replaced it.
All is well.
