Code P015A and P015B and vacuum issues

My 2014 sonic hatch lt just threw those codes. after looking around the forum I found some people claiming it to be a voltage issue to the plugs. I tested the battery and alternator and found a bad cell in the battery and replaced it and cleared the codes. That didn't fix it. Today I started it up and noticed the exhaust smelled like fuel for a little bit and after I accelerated and put the car in neutral and slowed down the rpms would surge and the longer the engine ran the less often it happened. The surge leads me to believe its a vacuum leak but I'm not sure. Anybody have any ideas?

It also has a hard time at idle every now and then and there is a LOT of crackle in the exhaust as I slow down in manual mode keeping it in gear.

Open the hood and check for possible vacuum leaks. Do not drive the vehicle long with this type of issue. You can "wash out" your catalytic converter..... And could be a costly repair.

Sounds similar to the failed PCV I had on my 1.4. I took it to the dealer and they fixed it under warranty, so it was a free fix. Seems to be a very common problem.

I'll have them check it. Update: I just had to code read again and now its spitting out P0097 P0113 P00F4 P015A P015B P2228 P0420 P2097......

There is no converter so I'm not too worried about that but I'm trying to drive it as little as possible. I haven't been able to find any leaks as of yet but I'm about to just take it to my mechanic and hope it wont be too much

If you removed the catalytic converters, how are you managing your O2 sensor?
