My first thought.. What does that SMELL like?!

No smell. The shoes get rotated on a regular basis and replaced when they have 4-5 hundred miles on them. If they are wet after a run they are allowed to dry before going back in the car.

I've thrown the rear-headrests in there along with a basic socket set and jumper cables. Might throw a blanket in there to help keep it all from sliding around so much too.

i use mine to keep stuff i don't want the dogs getting into..

But seriously, I'm getting ready to upgrade the stereo and I have yet to see pics of a stereo hidden in the rear hatch, just looking to get some ideas

I believe you may think of it as the well for the spare... but I don't see any point in running around with all that extra weight for something I haven't used in over 25 years... it's been a long time since I last used a spare!

I believe they are talking about the space below the floor, above the spare tire well. If I remember correctly the false floor is an option as is the spare tire.

I bought a bunch of storage bins from Home Depot that measure aprox 6"x12"x5"H and layed them in there like bricks. I put stuff like gloves, armor all wipes, jumper cables, extra diapers, juice boxes, the list goes on. Basically if I need the spare I only have to pull out the bins instead of a bunch of junk. Also that junk won't blend itself together making it hard to find stuff.

I'll post up some pics when I unload a bunch of tools from my hatch. It's been really cold every chance I get. Maybe today who knows. I think we are getting a solar vortex. It's supposed to hit 40 today.
