It's a glorified noise maker, might add a pony or two just from having a better filter, but it's essentially just gonna make a bit more noise. Adding a K&N filter should do nothing to your fuel trims. The difference is negligible. The same could be said if you had an absolutely filthy air filter and swapped it out with a brand spanking new factory one. Just a hair more airflow and a bit more sound. Congrats on staying cheap, that's the key with these cars...cheap.
