Customizing The Looks - Need Your Opinion

This is a photoshop of my car for what I'm debating on doing for customizing the look of it. Would you mind letting me know what you think?

Plan is to black out all the chrome and match the blacks to any plastics that are brighter than the plasti-dip or Vinyl Wrap; haven't decided what to use yet. Scheduled my Window tints for tomorrow after work.

Any recommendations you can make are appreciated.

Are you going to also black out the chrome on the bowties?

As long as you are going for the black on green look, you can always apply some Lamin-X protection film to the lights. Gunsmoke is about the darkest I'd dare go on the headlights.

You can also get a really cool effect if you put gunsmoke lamin-x over the gold of the bowties. Normally it appears black, but when the light hits it just right the reflective material behind glows a smoky muted gold.

If you ever decide to make the blacked out chrome look permanent, look at getting a can of Duplicolor Metalcast in Smoke color. That stuff will preserve some of the sheen of the chrome, while giving you the black color you want.

I'd say 8 coats, thin... would darken quite a bit... Doesn't seem good on taillights...it's too flat.

Mud flaps will be coming (Forgot to even try an put them in this picture). I'm hoping they'll be more "reserved" than the pieces of paper I've seen sticking out from the sides of the car.

As for smoking the lights, I believe it's illegal here in Alberta, Canada to have have anything but clear on your headlights. I am unsure of the rear lights but I don't think there's anything against it as long as they're visible from the appropriate distances and the colors are Yellow, White and Red.

The chrome on the emblem will be staying as I think it deserves at least one accent of it.

For symmetry I may skip the gas door.

Smoke, or find some paint which matches the deep black/grey of the tail lights... then paint the window frames, and the chevy logo surround... Then, later, get some springs and gun metal wheels...
boom... looks good with the green.

I have confirmed that putting anything on the tail lights here in Alberta is illegal so no smoking lights at all.

I'd tint all windows, black out the bowties completely, and leave the door handles, fuel door, and spoiler green, and paint the side door mirrors skull caps green to match. From the photos you posted.

I would like to black out all windows but it is also illegal do have your front driver and passenger windows tinted; same for the windshield (unless approved as a "perscription" if you're photosensitive). To make up for that I wanted some black accents on the doors and that's why the handles are black.

All modifications are also meant to be removable if I ever want to go back to the original. If there was a Plastidip color that matched the green of the car, I'd probably use that for the mirros.

The black on the green looks awesome, do it. I wouldn't do the fuel door or the hatch spoiler though.

You could color match some vinyl wrap for the mirror caps and also i have been using a lot of neo chrome wrap for my car, it has a color shifting effect and is see through as well. This is if you wanted something crazy for your car, I think it would look cool with that green

yeah, in my mind's eye I see a black chrome.... darker than gun metal, but still with a metallic sheen....

Matt black is overdone, I agree the metallic black will look nicer and accent the darker trim on the car

Glossifier won't cut it, maybe the pearl effect?

Best way is going to be paint or powder coat. Local car dealers have wheel touch up companies that do wheel scuffs and paint, you could have a pro paint them for $50-100 per wheel. Call a few to see who they use and call them direct (tell them you're a referral for their best price)

....if it has tits or tires it can be upgraded
