This has been online for A WHILE. I've been waiting for the numbers myself before jumping on something like this.

I wouldn't even consider it with out some test data. I don't see the stock Intercooler as a hinderance of power with the stock turbo.

Now, I understand why the Cruze guys buy the FMIC upgrade, and I would do the same if ours wasn't already front mounted stock. But unless I see some numbers showing that the stock IC is holding me back from HP, I'm not going to spend the effort.

If this was made by ZZP or a popular company Ive dealt with before Id jump all over it. But anyone can put pipes together with a core and call it an upgrade kit. I will wait to see a side by side comparison and actual intake temp tests before ill bite

I've spoken to Dave in length about the Intercooler. His input was that the stock unit is not terrible for performance. When he does come out with an upgrade, I'm very confident that he will have done the legwork to make sure it is worth the effort to change it. I'm guessing it might be a ways off. I'd be interested in just the piping kit. I doubt the different intercooler does much, but the hard charge tubes should help a fair amount, especially if you're running a high boost tune. I would probably cut and modify the intake pipe to fit the stock airbox, but that's just my preference.

Someone volunteer to be a guinea pig and test this thing on a dyno. I'll pick up the bill another time, but for the moment I'm too broke. This forum needs more dyno charts.

I would just wait for DDM to finish their kit. They have upgraded soft tubes from the turbo to the throttle body and a hard pipe to the throttle body (and video of the difference between stock and they tubes, it's eye opening!). They actually test parts and share their findings with us vs just running pipe and selling parts.

It's not hard piping but as you'll see in the video it's a vast improvement and it's sounding like hard pipe and silicon pretty much stand side by side at the end of the day..... and O.E.M. rubber is better left for inner tubes

Also I think DDM or possibly BNR said that the stock IC flows well and does a good job at cooling the charge air, it was just susceptible to heat soak after a couple hard pulls and hence the DDM intercooler diverter as a stop gap.
If that's the case the actual HP gain from an upgraded IC will be minimal, but it will allow you to retain your HP for longer. If I recall my info correctly

Good call. I wonder if he's taken it to a dyno, or how much nagging it would take to get him to. Guys, we have our mission.
