DDMW Hard charge tube w/ Synapse BOV install

Just received my synapse and hard charge tube from DDM works along with the block off plate. Just wondering if there are any pointers, tips, or things I should know before doing the install. Is the bov already set up to run atmospheric? Any other things I need hooked up? I am new to turbos and any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Run a vacuum line from the intake manifold to the your BOV.

Think you also need to be tuned before installing this if i am not mistaken. Pretty much what is holding me back from installing the same set up.

Yup, you do need a tune for an atmospheric BOV. I guess I take it for granted that the tune is the first step.

Yea first thing i got was the tune. Just installed the zzp intake, hard charge tube, synapse bov, and the ddm block off plate. Quite and undertaking in three hrs but mission accomplished. Still have a question about the vacuum line if anyone has the synapse bov. Did you use a splitter and go to both hookups? (5 & 6) I just went to 5 and don't seem to be having any problems.

I used a T before the synapse BOV and the vaccume line is connected to both nipples. That is the reccomended way according to instructions. Although other ways may or may not work as well. Ill post a pic when I get to a computer

I must be dumb or something, I just installed my Hard Charge pipe with the Synapse BOV and the block off plate today. Everything seemed to be good and tight. So I started my car and Problems left and right. I'm full tune so I figured I wouldn't have a problem. My car rides rough and when I'm idling the car just wants to die. I connected the line from the old BPV straight to the BOV, is that how you did it, or did you do the mod?

I had the same problem and got it fixed today. You have to have a retune. The setup of the sonic is not made to run an atmospheric bov and therefore the tune must be adjusted. Hope this helps.

Did you data log it or just get an upgrade tune? Assuming your Trifecta tuned.

I data logged it. Make sure you tell them your bov is atmospheric.

Did you just do a 0-60 pull? How long did it take to get your new tune back? I know they are booked up. Sorry for the many questions, I don't want to waste more money if I don't have to.

Yes 0-60 or so. I did take a little while. A few weeks. Make sure you let them know your issues.

Well data logging is out of the question.... Car isn't even drivable. But i'm sure its the BOV because i've gone back to stock and everything is good... I'll just put in a ticket and see if they can give me a whole new tune. Thanks for the help.

Why isn't it driveable? If you can't get it to start without stalling you need to give it a little gas when you start it. Keep feathering it until it doesn't stall. I had the same issue. Then i was able to drive it to get a datalog. Now the problem is solved

I agree with with sonic1.4. Mine would crank and drive. It did misfire due to the rich fuel ratio but it would level out when you gave it gas.

Sounds like you need the ECP enabled tune to support the BOV. I recently went from an ECP enabled full tune to the regular MAF full tune and it took a couple weeks and was free, just to give an idea.

Open a "high" priority ticket and point out your issue and see what happens
