Door Lock Knobs Coming Off

My front passanger side does this as well...I just swapped...seems to be fine now

I had the same problem. I ended up taking the knob, bushing, and complete lock linkage out of the door and plugged the hole. I didn't see the point in having both a knob and a door handle that would both unlock the door.

Grr, I thought this was a thread about how to delete them, but you apparently want to leave them in!
Seriously, what are they there for. I always lock the car electrically with my key, I even set it up so it cannot be locked without the key. I always unlock the car electrically with my key, but if I wanted to unlock it via the knobs I couldn't because I wouldn't be inside. If I'm inside, I unlock it by the "unlock all" button or by pulling a door handle twice. I can't think of a single circumstance where I would use the knob.
Meanwhile, the knob on the driver's door is located where it digs into my upper arm whenever I try to use a keycard, pay a toll or get a toll ticket, or get drive thru.

Mine do the same thing. Front passenger side! I will try to swap them, or put Teflon thread seal tape on the threads

I used AndrewGS's awesome write-up for removal of the door panel.

I then tore all the white plastic off and tried to gently remove the linkage from the plastic clip in the door knob assembly without breaking anything. After 15 minutes of fail I grabbed the linkage with lineman's pliers and twisted till it came out. Nothing broken, luckily.

i was told by my dealer to NOT glue them if i ever need that area serviced and the cannot get off the piece they will not deal with it and yes i know it sounds stupid just conveying what the dealer told me
That's why I worry about glueing them in... Has anyone got new lock bezels and they actually stay in? They should change the design to stay in better. I switched mine from front to rear and now the rear are popping up.
Maybe the rubber shrinks in the cold weather? Mine were fine all summer...
