Just wanted to say thanks to my fellow military, active and vets, for your service to our country.

Seven months of that, while at Langley AFB, several of the 1SPS/SFS troops were sent to the desert, many of us from all different jobs were reassigned to augment the police and security squadron where I made some life long friends.

From there, I supported Langley as a civilian contractor until 2005 under 83rd Comm Squadron.

My dad was Airborne during Korea, my sister did her 20 in the Air Force, my mom, and briefly myself, worked for a different Langley, but they still saw fit to put her on the veteran's memorial in her home town cemetery so I guess that technically makes me a veteran too.

I don't really think of it that way, though, the folks who put on a uniform and agreed to serve regardless of what damnfool orders they might be given are an entirely different breed, and I have the utmost respect for that degree of sacrifice.

I was involuntarily seperated because Obama decided that it was time for some lay-offs AKA PTS (Google: Navy PTS). Great times though, miss the lifestyle. Wish I could go back but with 80% VA Disability I am no longer considered for enlistment.
