Fog Lights

Hey all, I currently own a 2014 Chevy Sonic LS, it does nto have fog lights and I live along the ocean and do a lot of fog driving, would these work with my car? and should it be a simple install?

If you know of better ones please let me know

i think everything is plug and play for the gm fogs so i would assume that these are plug and play too

looks like it'll require some custom wiring to get power (connection to fuse box/battery & relay)... nothing impossible.

will be nice to have foglights that run WITHOUT the DRL's being on at the same time too!

OH, technically those are driving lights. Fog lights would be amber or yellow (wavelength carries through fog better)

i thought the us models didnt have drl's i though only canadian sonics came with day time running lights

No they definitely do come with DRLs, but they are defeat-able if you turn the headlight switch to the left. Canadian models it appears do not have this position on the switch (and I assume associated BCM programming).

This is the kit I have on my car. I have them taped into the side markers (to have them turn on). So when the DRL are on they won't be. I'm using the battery to supply the power.

If you pay attention while you drive you can notice that a car without the drls on is much much harder to see. You notice it really well when you see a row of cars driving towards you and one of them does not have any forward lights on it.

Its a matter of safety and what's a penny per km worth to your safety?
