I like it. How do those Hankooks handle in the snow and ice? I didn't even know they made winter tires.

Thanks guys, I haven't got to actually use them yet. Just put them on last night. And, of course, now it looks like its going to warm up a bit. I have used Hankook's other winter tire, the icepts and they weren't great in the snow, but were good on ice. These ipikes seem more snow oriented, like my all-time favorites, the bridgestone blizzaks. Similar tread pattern and feel.
I used sharpie oil based markers for the letters 3 coats and then a rustoleum matte clear top coat (probably not the best clear to use but I had it already from another project) I dont expect it to last but I don't really care as all cars look like crap in the winter time up here!

I'm running Michelin Xice winter tires, unbelievable traction and braking thru 6-8" of snow and ice too.

Michelin's rated one of the best!
My current winter tires are studded Hankook's W409 Winter iPikes. I've heard excellent reviews about the Michelin X-ice Xi3. :banana:
My All-Season tires are the Michelin Premier A/S and they've been the BEST set of tires I've ever had, period! So when it comes time to replace my winter tires, I too will switch over to the Michelin X-ice Xi3 tires!

My old tires had the white sharpie lettering and now I have TredWear tire letters. I've had them on about 10k miles and 4 autocross events and they've held up extremely well. The sharpie started coming off after about a week.

I want to spend money to make mine look better but I'm saving up for that GTX turbo.Are those DW's? If so how do you like them, I'm worried they are too flexy after reading the reviews. But don't know if people are just being picky. Also, is that a hideaway license plate i see?

Yeah, they're Extremecontact dws06 tires. I got them for like $75 each, so I would've been stupid not to get them. I had Michelin pilot sport a/s 3 tires before these which were more expensive and I'd say these tires are better. The ride quality seems to be better. I've never noticed the flex or anything, but I run more air in these than I did my previous tires. They're 235/45r17 and I run 40 psi. My only complaint is that they squeal occasionally, even if I'm not all that close to losing traction.
Yes, it's a hide away plate. I put it on to still be somewhat legal and it kinda protects scraping the front bumper. It's the Altec show n go.
