GM Performance Parts

Has anybody heard of the availability of the Sonic parts featured in the GMPP catalog? I've read the intake in particular doesn't even exist yet, but there it is in the catalog. Is this typical of GM to give us nice pictures and part numbers to look at but no real parts?

I understand that GMPP is going thru a mild reorganization. I know some
of the people involved and will try and find out what sort of time schedule the parts may be on. Have a RS on order so interested myself.

If it is anything like the supercharger kits they offered for the Cavalier, the parts will be available about a year after they discontinue using the engine.

The stage kits took a while with the lnf but we're pretty Good if you wanted to keep the warranty

I checked with my dealer and they told me that the tune is not available separate from the exhaust kit for the stage 1 "power kit" from GM. Since the kit ships with an "activation code" for the tune. This smells like fishy to me, they should be able to request an activation code from GM and just charge you for the time it takes to program the car.

Why isn't GM offering the computer upgrade for those of us who maybe purchased their Magnaflow kit before the power pack was available? The only change is that they require you to run 91+ fuel with the tune.

Perhaps our GM Customer Service rep could shed some light on this? Or pull some strings to make the software available separate from the exhaust (since there are many equally nice aftermarket systems out there.)

Probably cant get it separate due to emissions testing compliance. The tune is intended to be used with specific parts and is only certified for use with those parts.

I almost got into a bunch of trouble when I was using a flash for a S/C on a car with a T/C. They knew what I was up to but couldnt get me to slip up.
