GM Reddemable Cash On Sonic in 2012?

I'm about to blow a gasket as it is listed that the Sonic is not eligible for redeemable credit from a GM credit card. The list for 2012 is not out, but I trying to buy this vehicle before the end of the year. Anyone have any information that could help me back off the ledge a tad on this topic?

EDIT: The Sonic will have a $500 max redemption limit. Weak man, weak.

I know, having a limit of just $500 stinks. You used to be able to redeem up to $1000 on the Aveo. Maybe because the Sonic is built in the US now their profit margins are a lot slimmer, who knows.

One thing you might want to keep a look out for are those fliers that get mailed out from time to time saying that they've "rounded up your earnings" to the next thousand or whatever. At least the ones I get a couple of times a year say I can use those bonus earnings above and beyond the normal redemption limits. It depends on what promo they're running at the time, so check the fine print.

But yeah, redeeming only $500 won't even cover the cost of upgrading to the turbo engine on the LT!

Pretty sure it has something to do with the fact that it is a brand new model so they don't feel the need yet to add as many incentives. Example, as an employee, the Vehicle allowance for an Aveo is 2x that of the Sonic, with another large amount of cash incentives totaling 8x what break I get on the Sonic.

Wait a year or 2 and it *should* come down.

500 is ok, I mean that is +5% of the vehicle price. Anyways, I will take advantage of what I can, and now I'll have some leftover I guess.

Last question, should I go white or black exterior with the Brick accent interior on my turbo hatch?
