Hello,
I'm looking for a new car and considering the Sonic - which is strange because I was not interested in getting any 4-door car (not counting the hatch as a door). However the Sonic has a lot of good qualities, so who knows, maybe I can live with the extra doors (partial credit is due for at least trying to hide the handles, heh). It was the blue Aveo RS concept car that first caught my attention, then the positive reviews and unique features on the Sonic that kept the interest there. So I joined SOF to get some good info from you owners! And to contribute back if I can. Just started posting, but have been reading for a few months now and appreciate the good info.
Last car was a used 1996 BMW 328is coupe. Previous cars include three 1970 Oldsmobiles (Cutlass and 442), a 1984 Mustang GT, 1989 Mustang LX, and a 1979 Ford Fiesta Ghia. All used. Only new car I ever bought was a 1993 Saturn SL. It was fine and dependable, but painfully boring.
I'm interested in the 1.4 turbo with 6-speed. Leaning toward the LTZ, but don't like the chrome trim, and the wheels seem a little too big. So thinking about the LT with the "Cruise and Connectivity" package, and buying aftermarket 16 inchers and summer tires. Then using the 15s for snow tires. BTW, anybody know how much the stock 17 inchers weigh?
Other cars I'm considering buying are the VW Golf, Fiat 500, and Mini Cooper.
Thanks for reading.
