Growling noise.

When I start my 2012 sonic and when I accelerate I get what sounds like a Growling noise. Not sure what it is. Its been doing it for awhile. Doesn't seem to effect anything. But its just odd. Sounds almost like one of those big fart cans on the ricers.

Thanks. Was thinking the same thing. Just passed inspection. Would have expected them to find it.

Check engine finally came on took it to dealer. 2 codes...lean on one end, to rich on the other. The loud sound is much louder now but sounds like its coming from the engine compartment. Dealer said replace o2 sensor, said that it may fix the growling sign and that the catalytic converter may be gummed up and that may fix it but he didnt sound to confident.
