"Gurgling" under very light acceleration

Past few weeks ive noticed that quite often when I'm accelerating ever so slightly I hear a faint gurgling/sucking noise. I have a cai so I can clearly hear the vacuum/boost from the intake but hear this strange gurgling noise too. seems to become louder while driving on a right curve which sounds strange I know but if I'm driving on a left curve I don't notice it. if I sit at idle and rev the engine slightly I cannot hear it, only when I'm driving do I hear it. I may also note that the pulley side of the motor has an oily residue from top to bottom but cannot find the source. I also read a thread about random idle surge when coming to a stop, mind does that once in a while. not sure if those two things are related to the gurgling noise but thought id add them. If any of that sounds familiar to anyone, any input would be greatly appreciated. 12' ltz turbo automatic.

If the gurgling is coming from inside the dash (passenger-side?), then it's probably just coolant/air bubbles flowing through the heatercore.

under light throttle when the boost is at 1-5 psi the bov is open slightly to relieve boost and it makes a gurgling air sound, does it more going up a hill at light throttle, mine does it bad, if you lean on it or lift it stops. its all because of the cai pipe. with stock air box you cant hear it. sounds weird but get used to it, its normal

Well I've had my CAI for almost 10k miles and it just started maybe 1k miles ago, it's definitely not coolant I can hear that making noise in the intercooler plus the weird noise that's definitely coming from under the hood, it's coming from the passenger side of the engine bay, not sure where the bov is located so not sure if that could be it, I have a short video and it's very quiet but if u turn up the volume and listen u can definitely hear the noise over the sound of the exhaust

And whitesmoke, what makes me iffy on it being the bov is it does it while I'm driving straight, gets louder when I'm curving right at at least 15/20 mph not just turning a corner slowly, and doesn't do it if I'm curving/turning left. It only seems to do it when I'm going at least about 20mph or more it does it mostly at around 60ish when it drops into 6th and is at low rpms

"Gurgling" under very light acceleration

While engine is warm but not hot after shut off, open the coolant reservoir tank slowly to release any air bubbles that are trapped in the system. If you are low on coolant afterward, take a photo of your tank and show it to your dealership. Meanwhile, read your manual about adding coolant. There could be a leak in your system or water pump. The photo is helpful to convince the dealership that the water pump is bad.

I had this issue. It is air bubbles in heater core. I know the sound you are referring to and, yeah, it has noting to do with your CAI. Even if your coolant levels are okay there still may be air bubbles in the lines and heater core. Simple fix, and worked for me. Im 1k miles without that horrid sound.

Idle to warm, lift front end on ramps or with jacks and remove cap (with cation) air bubbles will rise and be released from your system. May take a few times depending on the amount of air.
