A hailstorm moved through my town and beat my poor sonic pretty hard. With insurance check in hand, I'm thinking an aftermarket hood with heat extractor vents would be nice.
I've seen the Seibon CF hood and it's out of my price range. I plan to paint it body color. I have a friend that can do that for me. The main goal is the heat vents, then the weight savings and dent resistance of fiberglass or carbon fiber.
The left side of the car got hit the worst. The insurance estimate had both left door panels being replaced rather than paintless dent repair. The rest of the car was all PDR. My plan is to get the biggest and most densely packed dents to get the most un-bang for the buck, but leave some of the lesser ones on it to save money. Anyone know of a cheaper option for a vented hood that is or will be available. Thanks.
