Hard charge piping?

Anyone done it yet? if not does anyone know the OD/ID for the intercooler and other parts? I'm thinking about having a local shop make me some aluminum tubes

If thats the one going to the throttle body would you need to take it off when you did an oil change to get to the filter? As they sit stock with the flex hose you need to kind mash it down to get to the filter.

If thats the one going to the throttle body would you need to take it off when you did an oil change to get to the filter? As they sit stock with the flex hose you need to kind mash it down to get to the filter.

You won't need to take it fully off, but it does have to be disconnected and swung out of the way.

Now, that is something I would like to see as well. I'm sure the reason no one (to my knowledge) has made one is that you would have to take the front end apart to install it.

Cx racing makes a complete hard pipe kit I believe it comes with the intercooler and intake but may be seperate.

DDM or BNR also sells a silicone kit that more or less overs all the advantages of hard pipes, And more flexiblibility.

Yes and no, there is still some flex with silicone but I think the heat protection of quality silicone hoses out was the minor disadvantages of a little bit of stretch. Dave from DDM has a YouTube video of the stock hot side hose vs his silicone and it was amazing to see how much the stock hose stretched vs his.

Will these kits replace the factory intake tube that cracks?

No. As far as I understand these hard charge pipes only replace the rubber tubes that go out of the turbo and into the throttle body. With the intake tube being the one from the filter to the turbo that's a different thing which as far as I know you can replace with just a pipe that'll fit.

Wouldn't this increase power and reduce the boost threshold? Might not be a lot but if's reduced by 200RPM's and then a 2HP boost. That's worth it.
