Help with switchbacks . I'm desperate! !!!!!!!!!!

I installed switchbacks with resistors but when I turn on the lights the white drl led don't come on but the amber works when I turn on the flashers.

It may be similar to our rear tail/brake lights.

When lights are on, tail light bulb receives 10v. When brake is pressed it switches to 12v. So both levels of brightness are coming from one wire.

I imagine the front turn signals are the same. 10v when the lights are on, then blinks to 12v when the turn signal is used.

So the switchbacks may have separate inputs for white and amber, but our stock turn signals only have one wire controlling them.

If this is correct, then you will need a Voltage Sensitive Relay and an intermediate knowledge of electrical circuits to make them work.

OR...... We do have 2 wires to the blinkers, but the wire to the running light function of the turn signals only sends 10v and that is not enough to light up the white LEDs in the switchback. A simple 12v automotive relay x 2 would easily fix that. You would just use the 10v signal to close the really to send 12v to the white LEDs.

I have 3 wires going into the socket. Since the incandescent bulb was dual filament I'm assuming that one wire is for the drl and one for the turn signal right?

So with a little more diagnostic probing I figured out the I received a bad batch of bulbs. The factory is set to an inverted posneg on opposite sides of the bulb while the led is a non inverted posneg
