Hi! New to the forum. I got a 2014 Sonic LTZ in black, and I love it, except that the previous owner was not kind to it. But I'm slowly but surely fixing everything up and getting it back to tip-top shape. To start with, they put in an aftermarket radio incorrectly, causing the BCM and PCM to short out. I think they forgot to disconnect the negative on the battery, to top it off. That also caused the blinker and headlight, along with the alternator and battery, to give up . LOL, noobs! Plus, they never changed the transmission fluid, so it's black, and they put the wrong type of coolant in. Also, there's a cracked valve cover. The poor car got the absolute worst treatment. Anyway, my tech guy is reprogramming everything for me as we speak, so I should have a happy heart in the morning. In the meantime, I'm in the market for a new transmission because the typical suspects, coils, pumps, etc., are in pretty good condition.
