HID in factory fogs??

Ok, I know the arguement for the "Dazzling reflection" etc for HID in halogen housings.... I however drive a ton of backroads with no one coming but the occasional deer. The factory foglight housings.. any reason why they wouldnt hold up to a 35 watt HID setup? of am I lookin at a meltdown?

I have bene looking, with little luck on here to find who has LED fogs and headlights, but, no real "show me how great these are" examples yet. I will be doing yellow lights, not white..

A few of my customers have the led headlights but none have installed fogs yet so I can't help you either.

I just installed some 3000K HID Fogs in my RS. The output is pure Lime Green, very disappointing. I'm hoping to figure out what the problem is. If you do the same please let me know of your results.

P.S. the glare isn't bad at all in the RS housings, which have much more opportunity for glare than the other style fogs.

LED can also be a option too

I agree with him, Was able to bought a Rigid Industries Led Conversion kit in replacement of my halogen bulb. Works really great and brighter plus its way cooler compared with halogen that emits heat.

Got LEDs in my fogs and disappointed. Let look cool with a blue tint but, they don't project well. Can hardly tell when I turn them on while driving.

Tmac, they LOOK bright there.. but, do they actually put light on the ground and ahead where you need them?? If not, I'm debating the knock off factory style lights with HIDs, Rigid LEG lightbar, or a pair of 6" round IPF lights on a rally bar..... all in yellow of course

They are bright to look at, but they don't go far down the road. I'm still liking them.
