HID Question

Ok so I ordered an HID Kit from xenonhid.com after receiving the kit I proceeded to install. One installed one light worked and one light didn't. So I reversed the polarity and still nothing. Played around with the ballast a little and BOOM! Light finally came on, but the light started flickering and then went out. So I switched the ballast to the other side that was working flawlessly and same problem persisted. This is what the kit looks like.

The piece in the middle is what I believe the customer service staff at the website (I believe) is called the igniter thinks that may be the problem.

On the other hand I switched these little boxes and the same problem persist. Has anyone had similar issues when installing HIDs or normally easy going. I'm still waiting for the site to respond.

To me it sounds like the ballast is bad. Second that box should stop the flickering it doesn't always work i no there's something u can add that deff makes it stop flicking I just can't think of that name I would contact the seller and get a replacement

Is that a picture of everything because if it is it looks like you are missing a relay and possibly another capacitor. The Sonic pulse accommodates the low power for the DRL and needs a relay to accommodate the differing amp requirements; per my understanding of what a Sonic needs for a HID system to work.

Sounds like a bad ballast, I just had one go bad in my sonic after just 2 months. Laborsmith is correct you do need a relay kit unless you turn off the DRL manually or pull the fuse. I did not need the capacitor.
