How many miles is too much for used?

Slowly looking for a 1.4l sonic. Curious how many miles is where most big issues come about? I can do some stuff in my drive way like water pump replacement etc but nothing I'll need a lift for or a covered garage for it to sit for a few days etc.

Curious if there's a mileage things typically get rough? Most Chevy's I've had could get 200k with some TLC

Depends on the price too. If you're trying to tune it and make it nice, I would say too much past 100k is more than I would go. Check the maintenance history on the vehicle, if any red flags appear, such as no trans fluid changes, regular oil changes, don't buy it. Obviously take it to a trusted mechanic. I have only owned gm products and have had zero problems keeping a car past 150k miles with basic maintenance.
