I'm confused about the Sonic's lights in general (even after reading the manual), but the first thing I want to do is turn the instrument lights way down low. I have a vision problem (light sensitivity) and the bright instrument lights hurt my eyes.
I notice that when the headlights are on, I can dim the instrument lights using the little wheel to the left of the steering wheel. But when the headlights are off, the instrument lights are at their brightest setting and I can't turn them down. Is this by design, or am I doing something wrong?
This is really bugging me a lot. I'm thinking of putting some kind of translucent plastic over the speedometer and blocking out the tachometer entirely (except for the small part with the light symbol) because the bright red needle is very distracting.
Any ideas?
