My chevy sonic (2012) has heat issues. It would blow hot air, then cold air, off and on. Coolant was a bit low, I topped it off, and let it idle for a few minutes. When idling, the air is lukewarm. Then when I rev it up to about 1500 rpm, it blows hot. Any suggestions?

Give the thermostat time to open and circulate the coolant into the heater core. If the hood is open and you look at the coolant reservoir while holding rpm around 2K, you should see liquid circulate into the bottle, along with air pockets being released.
More importantly, why is your coolant low enough to detract from the heating process? Investigate.
