Intermittent remote start help !!!

Remote start intermittent. If it refuses to start with remote the first time, it will not start with remote until you manually start auto . Seems to only bother in cold weather, where you would wish it would work 100% of the time.
When trying to start auto the rear lights flash as they should, the starter does not show any effort to start engine.

do you push the lock button twice before attempting to remote start?
Have you tried installing the onstar app on your phone? I use it to remotely start my car since my windows don't face my parking spot.

i press once and hold the button to remote start and boom instant turn on err time... except those random times where it won't turn on for anything so it sits there like "oh I'm going to turn on, just kidding get in here and stick the key in me." at which point I kick a tire cuz the dang thing won't start
