for a while (got my car at 99k, at 135k now) my car has had this stuttering feeling while under a bit of boost. It used to dump boost every 100 or so RPM’s starting around 2.9k-3.1k while not as noticeable in 1st gear. Now it’s getting worse, stutters starting around 2k with hesitation to accelerate. It almost feels like it has the power, but something is holding it back. It also started throwing a P0324 code (generic knock sensor code).
I’m curious what you guys think it could be given everything in this thread(http://www.sonicownersforum.com/forum/1-4l-turbo-sonic-engine-discussion/23449-boost-leak-10.html). My thought was thought was to change the intake manifold (it looks gross down the PCV) and plugs, then either the wastegate actuator or BPV. Anything else I should look into? Will the diablo tune work with the waste gate that Forge/BNR (can’t remember who makes it that requires a tune)?
Currently I have a K&N Intake system and the Diablo tuner using the 91-octane tune. The highest we get here in Colorado is 91 so I decided to do that instead of the high-performance tune.
