Hello all,
I’m super new to this forum and I’m super excited to be here! I am also not sure if I’m posting it the right spot (my apologies if I’m not!) I’m posting as I recently purchased the Weapon R Intake for my 1.8L Sonic. The install went smoothly, with little to no issues, but my car has been running poorly ever since. My cars acceleration hiccups pretty heavily between ~1800-3000rpms, but is completely smooth both before and after. I’ve uninstalled the intake, double checked every clamp/coupler, used carb cleaner to try and detect vacuum leaks, etc, but I cannot seem to find the problem. At first I noticed my MAF was seated improperly (as I didn’t actually insert it fully on one side) but I’ve since fixed that and I’ve still seen no improvement. I would also note that my idle is totally fine and I have absolutely zero other issues with the way the car runs. Any suggestions/ideas/advice would be greatly appreciated!
