K&N CAI noises 1.8L

Hey everyone.
Just got rid of the stock box since the hose was deteriorating and thought why not just put on the K&N.
Anyways, put it in but it sounds odd. Sounds like a transport truck downshifting...or like it’s struggling to breathe/gurgling.
Anyone else have this problem?

I have the DDM intake and it sounds great, does t go anywhere but sounds great getting there. It does gurgle and make sounds much louder than you’d think but had mine on since I picked car up from dealer and no issues.
