In the process of making an open source tuner. Got some great programmers on board. But we don't know anything about ECU's. Lots of information out there, its gonna happen. But you can help accelerate the process.

Right now im looking for Schematics of the E78, find out if all E78's are the same or if there are multiple hardware revisions.

Also gonna start working on building all the tables on a tuning interface that we can then maybe add modifers to are custom OS. There is alot of premade PCM suites out there. Was wondering if anyone had any insight on which would be a good choice for a low cost device that people can buy publicly and is readly available (not interested in selling programmers)

Just get a programmer who knows the ECM structure and can extend EFILive's table offering via a .cax file. Then you're just extending tables and features, dont have to mess with hardware/software design. Not cheap as the end user still has to buy an AutoCal at least for $300 or a FlashScan for $900.

E78s AFAIK are just 1 rev, however there are multiple OSs that have different calibrations within each year.

Interested to see where this goes, hopefully you can find a developer who has extensive knowledge of GM's controller architecture or it's going to be a long road ahead.

Hopefully something comes of this. I use RomRaider with a Tactrix cable for tuning my sister's WRX and it's great to use. Wish there was something like that for the Sonic.

Sub'd hoping this goes somewhere. Although I think the current tooning sources ($texas$) are enough to fill the demand at the moment, as the sonic gains popularity and more of them (used 1.4's) become available something will come of opensource tuning on the sonic.

Do you mean the manifold vac patch? So you can read negative manvac in boost for the IFR? That would be helpful but you can tune these in SD already if you know how to use a tool such as BlueCat's VVE generator.

Not pretty or easy, but doable. The trickiest part is compensating and tuning when the cams are moving...
