You can, but tbh there weren't very many issues related to the sonic. the only big issue was the one where some cars were produced with missing brake pads. other than that, the only thing I can remember was something with the Windshield washer hose not being properly connected.
I don't think it's necessary, but you could do it for peace of mind.
I fixed that for you.
Both of those were recalls. And should be done already. Honestly, I don't know how a car can leave the factory without a brake pad, never mind the dealership. Those cars had to have a severe grinding issue with the brakes.
TSBs (technical service bulletins) are to inform the service department about possible solutions for issues that may happen. An example: some customers may complain about a automatic transmission leak. It turns out on some cars, the seal on the torque converter will leak. The bulletin tells them what to look for, to verify the problem, and how to fix it.
I'm sure there are hundreds of TSBs for the sonics. Many that are common sense for the techs so we don't hear about them.
Maybe someone here works at a dealership and can look up the larger issues.
