Looking for more Turbo noise

Just recently picked up a fully loaded 2012 LTZ Turbo hatch and I love every second of driving it. If I have the windows down and its somewhat quiet I can hear the turbo spool but I need more noise lol. I have scoured the forums and it appears either a red neck intake or aftermarket intake is the best route. I would prefer an aftermarket short ram but I am unsure what brand to go with. Seems like there is alot of hate towards Injen but wasn't sure if there is a "go to" brand for a dryflow intake. Also, If I am to install an intake, what is the consensus on needing a tune. Everything I have read it's either needed or it's by choice. I have a long commute to work every day and I want to know that if I am to install an intake, I will not be shooting myself in the foot. As it stands my hatch is bone stock and I have been running premium in since day one. Noob to the forums so be gentle lol.

If you just want your intake to make "MORE" noise then a tune is not needed. If you want to actually gain power from the intake along with "MORE" noise then a tune is required.

I also think I heard that if you cut out holes in the bottom of the stock airbox that you can hear more turbo noises if that is all you are going for.

Yeah I have read about the swiss cheese airbox but due to my warranty still on the hatch, I want to keep the airbox intact in case I need to take it in.

just an FYI, swiss cheesing the air box will only void your warranty if doing so directly causes a problem. my stock airbox is swiss cheesed, sliced and diced and have a k&n drop in filter in it, dealership says nothing lol. also, i believe GM is working on releasing their factory/warranty approved ram intake system, so if you're patient, you could wait for it to be released and not have to worry about warranty at all

Or you could go and but MPfab's intake. Not only does it offer the good performance on a tuned motor, it also give the best induction sound imho.
