I have about 24K miles on my 2012 1.4L Sonic and have been losing coolant very slowly almost since I got it, new.
Read on this forum about location of leaks and some leaking water pumps, but also about some coolant loss that have a dealer "stumped".
I can't see or smell any external leads on mine. Decided to have the oil analyzed. Came back with Potassium & Boron in the oil ( indicates antifreeze in the oil ) and positive for water. Have an appointment Wednesday to have a new head gasket installed. Hopefully that will take care of the problem. Time will tell - might be a porous head casting ........
