Loud vibration noise coming from engine bay

Hi Everybody

I have a '15 LTZ Auto, that has recently started making a loud vibrating noise coming that is coming from the engine bay, I believe. I have a ZZPerformance CAI ( the one with the heat shield) and ZZPerformance cat back exhaust on the car.

I most of the time drive the car in manual mode. This is due to wanting to drive the car spiritedly, and enjoy the exhaust tone, and intake etc. I probably shouldn't but do downshift in manual mode (usually around 2.5-3k) is where the RPMs are in the next lower gear and let the car coast and let the exhaust tone really sing.

Since I started doing this, this really loud vibrating noise has started happening, usually when the car is accelerating at low RPM less than 2k up to 3.5k RPM, and is really bad when cruising with the RPMs at anywhere from just under 2k up to 2.5k. So 5th and 6th gear any speed from 35- 65.

Has anyone else had this issue, or now what it is that has rattled loose. I have tried parked revs to see if the noise could be recreated but no luck. I thought it was the dashboard but it is coming from the engine bay. I can post a video of it doing it if that helps. Any help is appreciated

I had the same issue on mine with the k&n. The heat shield was vibrating against the firewall at that same rpm. Just had to bend it away slightly

You have a ZZP CAI with heatshield? Pics, and yeah upload that video. I know I had a bolt when I had a K&N that came loose from time to time and made some rattling noises.

I had a rattling noise at idle.. could not locate the source. Then I accidently tapped the air dam one day and found it. One of the bolts or watever holds it up had broken off and the air dam was vibrating off the bumper.

Probably not the same issue since when i rev the car up the noise would go away.. but it's worth checking out I guess.

Pictures sorry I know I am late to responding, this vibrating is weird very intermittent. Sometimes at under 2k RPM sometimes when letting off throttle at higher RPM 3-4K. Btw the heat shield doesn't really touch the firewall

Beautiful intake! So I have some rattling but it's inside the cabin. It's due to the TTR mounts and it's super annoying and it's sometimes the rearview mirror vibrating. Sometimes it's the passenger door panel. The gray part on mine. Sometimes it's the little clips on the back seat. Sometimes it's the cover on the hatch. There's a whole bunch of things that rattle on this car with the mounts. I don't know if it's your issue but you could give it a shot.
