M2-Motoring Sonic build and rebuild

Hey everyone,

Here's a few pics of the car leading up to sema. It was a very short build time and with what limited parts were out at the time, we made the best of the situation.

We currently are working with Megan Racing for a variety of new parts to come to market including, Catback exhaust, Downpipe, Coilovers, and some other parts I can't mention =). Unfortunately, I did not have many pics as I switched phones around this time from an old iphone3gs to a I5 because the old phone didn't work half the time.

We are also redoing the car for a new paint job along with finishing everything else with the vehicle. =) It'll hopefully be done around june/july.

When you say b&g suspension is that there prototype lowering springs ?

The car was in Finnix tire's booth at sema. It's a new tire thats a self sealing with little to no air loss. It's an improved concept of a run flat. Only drawback is the tire's weight.

We used Sem products paint. Unfortunately we werent happy with the quality of the work on the car hence the redo. The same bodyshop did a great job on the tiffany color spark in the megan racing thread, but somehow this car didnt come out too great.

B&G used another Sonic to prototype with from my understanding. These were sent to us last minute from B&G to use for sema. We definitely appreciate their contribution towards the project.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. The car starting next week will be constantly in prep stages for the new paint scheme and will be getting it ready for events and shows in socal/las vegas this summer

yes it does rub quite a bit, I am running the wrong tire size for this particular wheel setup. it will all be corrected and taken care of once finished =)

So here's a teaser pic of the start of the whole rebuild process. yes my garage is a mess now lol



car should be done sometime in june (more like end). will be finishing up the new audio setup for it among other things.

haha thanks!. Actually there will be more pics and faster progress. I have been insanely hectic for the past few weeks so my time is actually beginning to clear up so i'll be able to focus more on this project =)

here's some progress pics from this past weekend. With so many layers of paint, we decided to get the car soda blasted. It's pretty much high psi blasting with baking soda and is not harmful to the environment =)

and this is something unavoidable. took a few hours to clean up LOL

Seibon carbon has also come on board with our project.

currently we are waiting shipment from our good friends at SEM products for our paint materials to get this bad boy prepped and into the spray booth!

cant beat $50 one day use and abuse of the trailer.

the rag was tucked and taped up very well prior to blasting but thats the aftermath lol

You can get a good car hauler for like 2500 bucks now a days. Well worth the money. But 50 is not bad

$2,500 or $50 for one use.... I think I would just rent and not have to worry about the $2,450 to buy one, plus a place to store it, plus registration, plus maintenance. Unless he plans on renting a trailer more than 50 times!
