I am officially confirming that the Metra Axxess ASWC Universal Steering Wheel Control interface works with the Chevy sonic. This is for anyone that wants to run an aftermarket deck and retain steering wheel controls. It does not retain OnStar or bluetooth, just the Source/forward,next/volume.
I had posted a while back about a full system install, and just recently used the ASWC to reconnect the steering wheel controls to my Kenwood deck. Auto-detected and everything.

Then:
for vehicle, enter a 2010 camaro with 3.6L and standard 6 speaker stereo. There will be PDF instructions.
I would suggest the Metra kit, but for anyone else that has already taken the dive to install a deck this works.
