Michigan Winter wheels HELP!

I'm looking to buy a set of snow tires/rims for the upcoming winter here in Michigan. After doing my research I decided to buy a set of 15" steel rims to replace the 17" stock rims already there for the season. (All the resources online i checked said to "Minus-Size" and get steel for the weight and traction) When i started looking for wheels I noticed that there were a set of "OEM" steel wheels for $95, when most steel wheels for the sonic cost $50-60 anywhere else. My question is will i break my warrenty (CPO) if I dont buy the OEM wheels for twice the price?

At the dealer I asked the specific question of "Can I get different wheels without voiding the warranty?" And the answer was yes, as long as the wheel is the same size as OEM. This is because of smaller or larger wheels changing the mileage on the car. They calculate mileage by revolutions of the drive wheels and a change in the wheel/tires radius can change that.

So short answer, as long as you get the same size wheels as stock you are fine.

For what its worth, I live in Detroit and put on a set of Michelin X-Ice3s on my stock 17's last year and never had an issue on the road. The stock 17's are a bit of an obscure size so the tires are a bit more expensive but I wouldn't worry about needing to "minus-size" it.
