My 1.4T is making strange noises

Open the hood while running. I hear the turbo a bunch, but I am not sure is that is just what you phone is picking up.

Could be a loose heat shield or charge pipe.

What was the last thing you did to your sonic mod wise?

Exhaust stuff? Sounds like a leaky band clamp on the exhaust, if you have a system that uses those.

I'm stock right now. I put the car up on the ramps. Exhaust seems fine nothing is lose.

Could be throw-out bearing noise.

An easy way to troubleshoot is: does the sound go away when you push the clutch pedal down?

Yeah it only makes the noise when I'm letting the clutch out

When the clutch pedal is all the way out, is the noise continuous? Or does it go away?

No. After the clutch is released about half way noise goes away.

Hmmmmm.

How many miles are on it? If you are bone stock, I would try a dealer visit and would expect warranty to cover it.

It could be a defective clutch.

I know clutches are a sensitive issues for warranty, but that doesn't seem acceptable for a new car.

Almost 5,700. I'm going to check it out tomorrow again. I noticed it has a very tiny whole in the muffler. It leaks, but that's something completely different. Maybe it's time to visit the stealer.

At 5,700miles, they should cover just about anything without any lip.

Not sure about the noise but the hole in the muffler is supposed to be there.
It is a drain that let's condensate and H20 leave the muffler to prevent rusting from the inside out.
