Hello everyone, I am from Connecticut and I just picked up my new 2013 Sonic RS Turbo this past Monday and just found this site.
For the past 13 years I have been driving a 2000 Dodge Intrepid ES and lately it has been having more and more problems, she also has 227,000 miles.
I started last week looking for a car to replace my Intrepid, this was going to a very difficult task, my first Intrepid saved my life in a very nasty accident and after that accident I went out and bought the same make and model. Even though I am on a second Intrepid, I am still very attached to her.
After a long search of multiple dealerships and every single brand out there I found myself on a Chevy lot, looking at the Spark. Now nobody knows me here, I am 6'7" my wife is 6'1" my 13 year old daughter is 5'11" and still growing, plus the 9 and 6 year old boys. The Spark could only hold 4 so that was out, but holy hell I fit in this thing.
Next was the Sonic, again I fit with no problem, then we tried the whole family and we all fit, this was rather insane for a sub-compact car. Now the hard part, which one?
I tried them all LS, 1LT, 2LT, LTZ, and nothing I found had everything I wanted at the price I was hoping for. Last Sunday I was shopping on the computer and found an RS, and this one had everything, I mean everything, best part was that it was a lower price then I had found for any other. We did the paperwork and I picked her up this past Monday.
Black with all the normal RS stuff, plus Automatic, sunroof, remote start and the oil pan heater. I looked at the options and this thing has them all, the 1.4 turbo snaps to attention getting around with all 5 of us inside.
Well that's it for me for now, see ya all out on the road.
