My sonic at autocross this past weekend :)

Looks like a good time! Once I get back from deployment and put a few more miles on my car I might see what it can do.

Awesome! how did you do? have you been autocrossing for a while?

This was the 3rd event ive been to and I love it, its a blast! I did fairly well for racing this car (avg time was like 62 and i was running a 66) but this race was with the Porsche club and almost everyone drives a porche or other nimble cars like the miata,genesis etc. i prefer to race with the scca. Feel like they have more cars in my class to compare to

i usually run with the scca. only other model-specific club i ran with was a corvette club, which was fun.

i don't think the genesis is any more nimble than our cars. it has more power but the sonic surely can slalom just as well and has a much shorter wheelbase (and probably a lower steering ratio).

Oh yeah the sonic is great. I do have to say i wish i bought the turbo though, I got a good deal on the 1.8 because it was the last one on the lot. But the 1.8 is still a ton of fun. Only thing is i keep having a problem with understeer. Thinking about putting on a better sway bar and getting myself some good tires, hopefully that helps.
